ELECTRICAL

Panel/Subpanel Upgrades and/or Installation

Typically legacy 100AMP panels are upgraded to 200AMP to accommodate increased electrical demand such as EV chargers, AC units, Pool etc. The process is:

  • Schedule the utility provider to come out to do a “meter spot”.

  • Obtain a permit from the city.

  • Perform work and call for inspection.

Whole House Wiring/Rewiring

Legacy “knob and tube” systems are typically upgraded. It’s also advisable to replace aluminum wire with copper since aluminum is also a good conductor of heat. In either case its essential to perform load calculations to ensure loads are distributed evenly across each phase.

EV Charging

Residential EV chargers are either direct wired or a Nema 14-50 outlet accommodates all manner of EV chargers. Direct wired may just require 3 wires while a Nema 14-50 requires 4 wires

Lighting and Smart Home Integration

We pride ourselves as being subject matter experts in the area of lighting and smart home integration. Various considerations go into lighting projects, the question being what’s the purpose? Residential lighting is more straightforward while its best to perform luminosity distribution calculations for large scale commercial and government applications.

Residential recessed lighting is increasing popular, however LED lighting is only as good as the "driver" that converts AC to DC since LED's run on DC. We only work with suppliers who use high quality "drivers".
